Privacy Notice

Last updated: 27th October 2026

This notice explains what happens to information when you use the VDJTools app or visit vdjtools.info and vdjtools.com. The short version: we don’t use cookies, we don’t track you, we don’t show adverts and we don’t keep personal information about you.

Who we are

VDJTools is run by Quick Apps UK, based in the United Kingdom. For anything about privacy, email privacy@vdjtools.com.

Our websites

Neither site has accounts, logins, comments or contact forms, and neither sets cookies.

  • Hosting. Both sites are hosted by Hostinger. Like any web server, it briefly records technical details of each request, including your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the service secure. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify you.
  • Security. We use the Wordfence security plugin to block attacks. It may record the IP address of suspicious requests, such as repeated failed logins, for security purposes only.
  • Visitor statistics. We count visits with Koko Analytics, which runs on our own server. It uses no cookies and stores only totals: pages viewed, visitor numbers and which websites sent people to us. To avoid counting the same person twice in one day, it uses a code derived from the request that is replaced every day and then deleted; it is never stored with the statistics and cannot identify you.
  • Documentation statistics. On vdjtools.com, our documentation software counts how often each help page is read and what is typed into the docs search, so we can see which answers people need. The counts stay on our own server. So a page isn’t counted twice, your browser keeps a small marker for each help page you open (for example bd_v_22). It holds no personal information, is never sent anywhere, and you can remove it by clearing your browser’s site data for vdjtools.com.
  • Search results. We use Google Search Console to see how our sites appear in Google Search: search terms, clicks and countries, as summary figures. This comes from Google’s own search data; nothing is added to our pages to track you.
  • No third parties in your browser. Fonts, scripts and images are all served from our own server, so visiting the sites doesn’t send your details to Google or anyone else.

The VDJTools app

VDJTools works on your VirtualDJ library on your own computer. Your music, database, playlists and file paths are never sent to us.

  • Purchases and licences. VDJTools is sold only through the Mac App Store and Microsoft Store. Payment, your account and licence checks are handled by Apple or Microsoft under their own privacy policies. We don’t receive your name, email address or payment details.
  • Anonymous repair counts. After a successful import, the app sends us how many items were repaired, by repair type (for example, database fixes). It sends nothing else: no library details, no device or user identifiers. As with any internet request, our host sees the IP address it came from, but it is not stored with the counts. We publish the combined totals on vdjtools.info. You can turn this off at any time in the app’s settings.

Contacting us on social media

We talk with customers on social media. Those platforms process your information under their own terms and privacy policies. We only use what you send us there to reply and help you, and we don’t copy it into other systems.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing about you, there is usually nothing to access or delete. You still have rights under UK data protection law, including to ask what we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object. Email privacy@vdjtools.com and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our sites and app are not aimed at children.

Changes

If what we do with information changes, we’ll update this notice and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
