Playlists Repair fixes broken track references inside your VirtualDJ playlist files.
When to use it #
Use it when playlists contain missing entries after a move, rename, drive change, or a general library tidy-up.
What it repairs #
Missing track paths inside playlist files.
Key arguments #
/repair:playlists/stage:export,/stage:autofix,/stage:validate,/stage:import/scan
Example commands #
vdjtools /repair:playlists /stage:export vdjtools /repair:playlists /stage:import
Typical workflow #
Export playlist issues, review the proposals in the workbook, validate, then import.
Safety notes #
If the breakage started with a library-wide path change, fix the database first — CrossRef or this page can then clean up whatever’s left.
Limitations #
Results here may be small or empty if the underlying path issue was already resolved by a database repair and CrossRef.
Common scenario #
Playlists fail after a tidy-up because the music exists in its new location, but the saved playlist entries still point at the old path.
