VirtualDJ build 7445: new controllers, on-demand Stems 2.0, and sub-folders in virtual folder export

Released 15 February 2023. The first big update of VirtualDJ 2023.

What changed

  • Support for the Pioneer DDJ-FLX4, Hercules DJControl 300 MK2, Akai LPD8 MKII and Akai APC MINI MK2.
  • On-demand Stems 2.0: VirtualDJ works out the quicker Stems 1.0 first, and only computes Stems 2.0 when you actually use them.
  • Exporting a virtual folder can now include its sub-folders.
  • Restoring a VirtualDJ backup can also restore your quick filters and colour rules.
  • A new Echo Out mix effect, several stem effects at once, and a beat-grid pattern menu on the stems+fx pad page.
  • A fix for quantize on the loop-roll pad page.

For your library

Exporting a virtual folder with its sub-folders is handy for taking a crate structure elsewhere, but it’s a copy: the virtual folders in your library are unchanged. The database, playlists and history are stored as before.
