Released 1 December 2022. Build 7356 is the first build of VirtualDJ 2023, the version VDJTools is built for, so it’s where this series starts.
What changed
- Stems 2.0: a new stem-separation engine, and the headline feature of VirtualDJ 2023. VirtualDJ splits a track into vocals, instruments, bass and drums live, and Stems 2.0 is a big step up in quality.
For your library
Nothing in this build’s notes points to a change in how the database, playlists, virtual folders or history are stored. Stems can be prepared ahead of time and kept as files; a few weeks later, build 7388 adds a setting for where those files go.
