Let the tool find the likely matches, then keep control.
The autofix stage exists to handle the obvious cases quickly, the ones where a file clearly moved from A to B and there’s really only one sensible match. For most libraries, that’s the bulk of what’s broken, and letting VDJTools propose those matches automatically saves a lot of manual clicking.
What it isn’t is a one-click fix-everything button. Some rows will have no confident match, or two plausible candidates, or metadata too thin to go on. Those are exactly the rows worth your attention, and because every proposal lands in the workbook rather than straight into VirtualDJ, you get to review, correct, or reject anything that doesn’t look right before it ever gets written back.
Treat it as a very capable first pass, not a verdict.
