CrossRef copies validated database path fixes into the matching rows in your history, playlists, and virtual-folder worksheets.

When to use it #

After you’ve validated a database repair — and before you’d otherwise go and manually re-fix the same paths everywhere else.

What makes it different #

Unlike the other repairs, CrossRef has no stages of its own. There’s no export, autofix, or workbook review step to run through — it simply applies fixes that have already been validated in the database, so it runs directly.

What it repairs #

Matching rows in history, playlists, and folder worksheets, based on the validated fixes already sitting in your database.

Typical workflow #

Export the database, review, validate — then run CrossRef, and continue with any target-specific repair only for whatever’s left over.

Safety notes #

CrossRef depends entirely on validated database rows. It isn’t a replacement for taking a backup or for validating in the first place.

Limitations #

It doesn’t touch favourite folders or source worksheets, and it ignores delete-style path replacements.

Common scenario #

Once the database is fixed, the same corrected path needs to reach playlists and history too — without retyping it in three places.
