The workbook is where every repair actually happens. It’s a working document — not VirtualDJ’s real data — so you can look, edit, and think without touching your live library.

How it fits into a repair #

• Export creates the workbook, listing every row that looks broken
• AutoFix can propose a replacement value for each row
• You can review, accept, or correct any proposal before moving on
• Validate checks the workbook is internally sound
• Import writes the reviewed, validated workbook back into VirtualDJ

Why this matters #

Nothing reaches your actual VirtualDJ files until import. That means a wrong proposal — whether from AutoFix or a manual slip — is never a disaster. You catch it in the workbook, correct it, and validate again. The workbook is the safe space where repair decisions get made.

A quick example #

Say a drive letter changed, and a database export lists 400 tracks as missing. AutoFix might confidently match 380 of them to their new location. The remaining 20 need your eye — maybe the filename changed too, or there are two similar files and AutoFix guessed wrong. You fix those rows directly in the workbook, then validate and import as normal.
